  • 4 pieces Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs Work best for flavor and tenderness.
  • 1 medium head Cabbage, cut into wedges For even cooking.
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth Adds moisture and depth.
Seasoning

  • optional Garlic powder or paprika For added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices.
  2. Arrange the cabbage wedges at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken thighs on top of the cabbage.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth, ensuring some gets under the cabbage.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for about 6 hours or high for 3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  2. Once done, check for seasoning and adjust if needed.

Notes

To store leftovers, allow the dish to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or on the stove, adding a splash of broth if needed.
