  • 1 medium onion, sliced For layering

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the cube steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak on both sides until browned.
  3. Place the seared steak in the crock pot and layer it with sliced onions.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with beef broth until smooth, then pour it over the steak and onions.
  5. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for about 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes or rice to enjoy the gravy. Best paired with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad. Storing leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge can last for 3-4 days.
