  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the meatballs
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For Cooking
  • 1 cup French onion soup Serves as the cooking liquid and flavor base
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Add towards the end for melting

  2. Form the mixture into meatballs of your desired size and place them in the crock pot.
  3. Pour the French onion soup over the meatballs, ensuring they are nicely coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for about 6 hours, or until the meatballs are fully cooked through.
  2. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top to let it melt.
Serving
  1. Serve with your choice of mashed potatoes, noodles, rice, or a medley of roasted vegetables.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture. Experiment with adding herbs like thyme or parsley for additional flavor. You can also add chopped mushrooms for an earthy depth or swap the French onion soup with creamy mushroom soup.
