Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 cans 15-ounce cans sliced peaches in 100% juice, drained from one can Feel free to use fresh peaches when in season.
  • 1 box 15.2-ounce spiced cake mix Can be substituted with vanilla or chocolate cake mix.
  • 8 tablespoons butter, cut into 8 equal pats Can use a plant-based alternative for vegan options.

Method

Preparation
  1. Drain the liquid from one can of peaches.
  2. In a 6-quart crock pot, layer the canned peaches evenly on the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix over the top of the peaches as evenly as possible.
  4. Place the pats of butter on top. You can melt the butter and drizzle it over the mix if preferred.
  5. Cover the crock pot with a clean towel before placing the lid on top to prevent excess moisture.

  2. Use a toothpick to check for doneness; it should come out clean.
