Preparation
- Drain the liquid from one can of peaches.
- In a 6-quart crock pot, layer the canned peaches evenly on the bottom.
- Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix over the top of the peaches as evenly as possible.
- Place the pats of butter on top. You can melt the butter and drizzle it over the mix if preferred.
- Cover the crock pot with a clean towel before placing the lid on top to prevent excess moisture.
Cooking
- Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours. The cobbler is done when a knife inserted in the center top comes out clean. Do not check before 2 hours.
- Use a toothpick to check for doneness; it should come out clean.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze portions for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to preserve tenderness.
