  • 2 pounds beef (such as flank steak or chuck roast)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Corn tortillas For serving
Toppings
  • chopped cilantro
  • diced onions
  • lime wedges

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the beef in the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning, chopped onion, and minced garlic over the beef.
  3. Pour the beef broth and lime juice into the crock pot.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  2. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks.
  3. Serve in warm corn tortillas with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. You can freeze the cooked beef for up to 3 months.
