Preparation
- Start by boiling the ziti pasta in a large pot according to package instructions, but aim for al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Transfer half of the pasta mixture into the crockpot. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Then add the remaining pasta mixture on top. Finish with the rest of the cheeses.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- Once cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
Notes
