Ingredients
  

For the ribs
  • 3 pounds Beef short ribs Bone-in preferred for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite flavor.
Optional ingredients
  • 1 cup Chopped onions For additional flavor.
  • 1 cup Chopped carrots For added texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the beef short ribs liberally with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Place the seasoned ribs directly into your slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
  3. Pour in the beef broth, ensuring it’s evenly distributed, and add the BBQ sauce on top of the ribs, coating them generously.
  4. If desired, toss in some chopped onions and carrots for added flavor and texture.
Cooking
  1. Cover your slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours, until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.

Notes

Serve over creamy mashed potatoes or alongside roasted vegetables. You can enhance the dish with fresh herbs or green onions. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze portions for up to 3 months.
