Crockpot Blackberry Dump Cake

Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 13.25 oz Betty Crocker White or Vanilla Cake Mix Can use other brands if preferred.
  • 42 oz Blackberry Pie Filling (use two 21 oz. cans or homemade) Homemade filling can also be used.
  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted) Melt before use.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Spray the inside of a 5-6 quart Crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Pour the Blackberry Pie Filling into the bottom of the Crockpot, spreading it evenly across the base.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the dry cake mix and melted butter, stirring until it forms a crumbly mixture. Be sure to break up any large chunks for an even texture.
  4. Pour the crumble mixture over the blackberry filling, spreading it out evenly.
Cooking
  1. Cover the Crockpot with its lid and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 4 hours.
  2. Once done, serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds before serving. For more flavor, consider adding vanilla extract, cinnamon, or nutmeg.
