  • 1/2 cup honey Can be substituted with agave syrup or sugar-free alternative.
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce Tamari or coconut aminos can be used for gluten-free.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season according to preference.
  • to garnish Green onions Chopped for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour the honey garlic sauce over the top.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and tender.
  2. Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back into the sauce for a flavorful finish.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Best served over jasmine rice or quinoa. Can be paired with steamed broccoli, salad, or lettuce wraps. For storage, store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3-4 days in the fridge. Freezing is possible for up to three months.
