  • 3/4 cup low sodium chicken broth You can substitute with vegetable broth or water.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by placing the chicken breasts in a 2.5 to 4-quart crockpot.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth, then sprinkle the seasoning salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper over the top.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F and is fall-apart tender.
Shredding and Serving
  1. Once cooked, use two forks to gently pull apart and shred the chicken in the liquid. If too much liquid has accumulated, remove some before shredding but keep it for later if needed.
