  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use gluten-free for a gluten-sensitive version.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, or carrots) Mix and match according to preference.

Preparation
  1. In a slow cooker, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and chicken broth. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker, making sure they are well coated in the sauce.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
  5. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Add the shredded chicken back to the slow cooker along with the cooked noodles and your choice of vegetables. Stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook on low for an additional 20-30 minutes.
  8. Serve hot and garnish with green onions.

Notes

Consider adding sesame seeds or a drizzle of soy sauce when serving. Pair with a light salad or dumplings for a complete meal. For easy prep, use rotisserie chicken.
