Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds beef roast Use a cut suitable for slow cooking.
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix Optional: use pre-made gravy for a shortcut.
  • 1 cup beef broth Ensure it surrounds the roast without washing out the seasonings.
  • 1 stick butter Place on top of roast for richness.
  • 5-6 pieces pepperoncini peppers More can be added for spiciness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by placing the beef roast in your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and the au jus gravy mix generously over the top of the roast.
  3. Carefully pour the beef broth around the roast, ensuring it doesn’t wash away the seasoning.
  4. Place the stick of butter on top of the roast and scatter the pepperoncini peppers around it.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 8 hours, or until the beef is tender and falls apart easily.
  6. Once done, serve the roast with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice, and enjoy every bite!

Notes

To store leftovers, cool completely before refrigerating in an airtight container. Can last 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in portions double-bagged to prevent freezer burn. When reheating, ensure it is heated thoroughly.
