  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 piece bay leaf
  • to taste fresh parsley for garnish Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by adding the beef, broth, carrots, potatoes, onion, garlic, tomato paste, thyme, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf to your slow cooker.
  2. Stir everything together to ensure the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded beautifully.
  4. Once cooking is complete, don’t forget to remove the bay leaf before serving.
  5. Garnish your stew with some fresh parsley to add a pop of color, if desired.

Notes

For best results, sear the beef before slow cooking for added flavor. You can customize with different herbs, vegetables, or even substitute sweet potatoes for regular potatoes.
