Ingredients
  

Creamy Mixture
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 package 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is well softened for blending.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Can substitute with salted butter if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Corn
  • 5 cups frozen sweet corn Can be substituted with fresh corn when in season.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In your slow cooker set to High, stir together the heavy whipping cream, softened cream cheese, butter, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook this mixture, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, until the cheese and butter have melted completely.
  3. Next, stir in the frozen sweet corn, making sure it’s well coated with the creamy mixture.
  4. Reduce the heat to Low and cook for an additional 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Notes

Creamed corn is a versatile side dish that pairs well with many main courses like grilled chicken or barbecue ribs. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months.
