Preparation
- Place the boneless chicken thighs or breasts into your 6-quart slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, cornstarch, sriracha, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, making sure it is evenly coated.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F and is fork-tender.
- Remove the chicken and either slice or shred it using two forks.
- Return the chicken to the slow cooker and toss it in the delicious sauce.
Serving
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For optimal flavor, try marinating the chicken in the honey garlic sauce for a few hours before cooking. You can add different veggies, such as bell peppers or snap peas, during the last hour of cooking.
