Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease or line a 9×13 baking pan to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, prepare the cookie dough according to the package directions, combining it with the butter, water, and egg.
- Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar packet over the dough for extra flavor.
- Layer the apple pie filling evenly on top of the dough.
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar over the apples.
- Crumble the leftover cookie dough on top of the filling.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and set.
- Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with whipped cream, caramel sauce, or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
